Aventura Moving — who’s behind the trucks
Aventura Moving is an Aventura-based, family-run crew of W-2 movers serving the Aventura, Sunny Isles, and Hallandale Beach corridor since 2018. We own the trucks, hold the FL intrastate registration and USDOT/MC authority, and don’t subcontract your move to another company. The same crew that quotes your move is the crew that loads it.
Why we started this
Rafael Vasquez was born in Hialeah, grew up in Bay Harbor, and spent several years running a furniture-delivery crew out of the Doral warehouse district. He saw the same pattern every season — snowbird families and condo residents getting routed through broker chains, deposits disappearing, "arrival windows" turning into multi-day no-shows. Aventura Moving was set up so the people on the phone, the people writing the quote, and the people lifting the boxes all work for the same company.
How we work in this part of Miami-Dade
Aventura, Sunny Isles, Bal Harbour, and the rest of the NE-Miami high-rise belt have specific moving constraints — freight elevator reservations, COI requirements for buildings like Williams Island and Porto Vita, narrow service corridors, parking restrictions during peak winter snowbird season. Our crew chiefs (Andre Lemieux and Joaquin Salazar) have run these jobs for years. We pre-call HOA managers, file the COI in advance, and bring crew sized for the elevator window — not the inventory list.
What’s in the truck
- 26-foot box trucks (3 on rotation, all under 5 years old)
- Floor runners and door-frame padding on every job
- Climate-controlled storage in our Doral facility for between-home moves
- FL intrastate mover registration + USDOT/MC for interstate runs
- $1M cargo coverage + workers’ comp on every crew member
Languages we speak on the call
Camila Restrepo and Yolanda Castillo handle the office in English and Spanish. Andre Lemieux runs Haitian Creole and French for Little Haiti and North Miami runs. Joaquin Salazar coordinates Spanish-language long-distance to Cuba-diaspora families relocating north. Roughly 60% of our calls come in non-English — we built the team around that.
