How to pick the right service
Pick Local if…
- Both addresses inside Miami-Dade or southern Broward
- Same-day or next-day move
- Standard furniture inventory (no specialty)
- Flat-rate budget under $2,500
Pick Apartment if…
- Pickup or destination is a high-rise condo
- Building requires COI 48–72 hours ahead
- Freight elevator window is under 5 hours
- HOA pre-approval needed (Williams Island, Acqualina, etc.)
Pick Long-Distance if…
- Destination is outside Florida
- You need binding flat-rate (not weight-based)
- Single-truck preferred (no carrier transfers)
- Move involves 3+ days of transit
💡 Pro tip from Rafael
If you’re moving between October and April (snowbird season), book at least 3 weeks ahead. Aventura tower freight-elevator windows fill up first — Williams Island and Porto Vita are often booked 6 weeks out for end-of-month dates. Off-season (June–September) you can usually get a same-day or next-day slot.
What’s NOT in scope
Honest list of what our crews don’t do:
- Hazardous materials — paint, propane, gasoline, ammunition, fireworks. FMCSA-prohibited; you transport these yourself.
- Live plants on interstate moves — FDA agricultural regs block plants crossing state lines.
- Pets and live animals — book a pet-relocation specialist (we have referrals).
- Cash, jewelry, irreplaceable documents — strongly recommend you transport these yourself even on local moves.
- Demolition or construction debris — call a local junk-haul service. Ask us and we can point you to one.
Quick answers
Can I combine packing service with a long-distance move?
Yes. Our team sends a packing crew the day before pickup. Inventory is packed, labeled by room, and loaded directly into the truck the next morning. Saves you a day and reduces handling.
What if my move involves both a local and a storage leg?
Common scenario: closing date doesn’t align with move-out. Our crew loads at origin, drops at our climate-controlled storage in Doral, then re-delivers on your move-in date. Quoted as one combined job, not two.
Is piano moving really a separate service?
For uprights inside a standard move, it’s a $200–400 add-on. For grand pianos or moves involving multiple piano-board transfers (stairs, narrow doors), our piano-specialty crew handles it on a separate line item, priced separately ($600–1,000). Worth flagging at quote time.
