Last updated: October 2025. These Terms govern booking and service of moves performed by Aventura Moving ("Company," "we," "us"). By booking a job or signing our written estimate, you agree to these terms.
1. Quote validity and inventory
Written flat-rate quotes are valid for 14 days from issue date. The quoted price reflects the inventory list and access conditions described at quote time. If material differences exist at pickup (significantly more items, additional access constraints not disclosed), we’ll renegotiate the price in writing before starting work — you can also cancel without penalty at that point.
2. Booking, deposit, cancellation
- A signed estimate plus a deposit (10% of quoted total, max $500) confirms the booking
- Cancel 7+ days before the move date: full deposit refund
- Cancel 3-6 days before: 50% deposit refund
- Cancel within 48 hours of the move date: deposit forfeit (covers held crew time)
- Reschedule once at no charge if requested 48+ hours in advance and dates are available
3. Liability and claims
We carry $1M cargo coverage. By default, items are protected at 60¢ per pound under FMCSA-released-value liability — this is the federal standard and matches what your check at the end of the move says. Full Value Protection (replacement-cost coverage) is available at quote time for an additional fee, typically 1-3% of declared value. Claims must be filed within 9 months of delivery for interstate moves (60 days for FL intrastate) via email with photos.
4. Items we won’t move
- Hazardous materials (paint, propane, gasoline, fireworks, ammunition)
- Live plants on interstate moves (FDA agricultural regs)
- Cash, jewelry, irreplaceable documents — we strongly recommend you transport these yourself
- Items obviously concealing prohibited goods
5. Payment
Final payment due on delivery before the truck is unloaded. We accept all major credit cards (no surcharge), checks, ACH, and cash. Disputes over scope mid-move pause the clock — payment is still due, refund (if owed) processed within 5 business days against documented evidence.
6. Disputes
FL law governs. Disputes go to small claims (under $8K) or Miami-Dade County Court. We won’t ask you to sign mandatory arbitration — small-claims is faster and cheaper for both sides.
